In a case that’s been dubbed “America’s saddest murder trial”, a 35-year-old woman has been accused of killing her three young children in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. While prosecutors argue that Lindsay Clancy intentionally killed her three children at home, her lawyers argue she should not be held criminally responsible because she was experiencing a psychotic episode related to postpartum mental illness.
