One year on from Roe v. Wade

It’s been a year since the U.S. Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to an abortion.

The decision to quash the nearly 50-year-old ruling meant individual states could determine their own abortion legislation. As a result, many states immediately enforced abortion bans.
