Announcement
On Thursday, Carroll announced that if re-elected, Labor will keep pubs open until 3am.
Currently, pubs are allowed to be open until 1am and need to apply to be open later.
In addition, he promised that pubs will be able to allow dogs inside.
“Pubs know what they are doing, and these are commonsense decisions to let them get on with business," Carroll said.

“Just because you open the pub to 3am, it doesn’t mean you’re going to see another pint being bought.
We want to make sure that we actually fix our economy here.
We’ve put forward payroll tax relief... that will actually help our hospitality venues.”
