Already-eliminated Türkiye played the U.S. at the same time as Australia’s game, producing one of the biggest shocks of the tournament by beating the host nation 3-2.

What’s next?
This result means Australia qualifies for the knockout stages, beginning with the Round of 32.
The top two teams in each group automatically secure a spot in the Round of 32, while only the top eight of the 12 third-placed teams will go through.
Group G consists of Belgium, Egypt, Iran, and New Zealand. Any of those teams could finish second.
Australia will face the Group G runner-up at 4am AEST on 4 July.
