Two months after making history on Mount Everest, 18-year-old Melbourne student Bianca Adler has revealed her next major challenge.
The teen will walk 50 kilometres through South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula in a single day, raising money for mental health support.

Background
Adler reached the summit of Mount Everest on 20 May 2026, becoming the youngest Australian to climb the world's highest mountain.
It was her second attempt.
In 2025, she turned back around 400 metres from the top due to bad weather. Before Everest, she had already set world records as the youngest woman to climb two other Himalayan peaks, Manaslu and Ama Dablam.
The mental side
Reaching the summit is only half the challenge.
Adler has said almost all accidents happen on the descent, when climbers are tired and lose focus. She reached the summit at 2am, allowing her to stay ahead of the crowds.
"I knew I had to stay concentrated," she said.

Her next challenge
Adler has now been named a Coastrek ambassador for 2026.
Coastrek organises team hiking challenges along Australia’s coastline, raising money for charities while encouraging more people to get active outdoors.
On 4 September, she will walk 50 kilometres from Parsons Beach to Goolwa across the Fleurieu Peninsula in a single day. It will be her first Coastrek.
Adler said: "I love how they are inspiring more women to get outdoors and pursue goals."
Fundraising
The event will raise money for Beyond Blue, a national mental health organisation that runs a free counselling and support line around the clock.
The service helps more than 800 Australians every day, with someone reaching out about every two minutes.
Adler said she also wanted to encourage more women to enter adventure sports, which she described as heavily male-dominated.
What next
Adler will take on the Fleurieu Peninsula Coastrek on 4 September. Registrations close on 26 July.
The waitlist for the Sydney Coastrek, scheduled for March 2027, will open on 27 July.
