Former New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has been accused of calling Prime Minister Scott Morrison a “horrible, horrible person” in leaked text messages released by Network Ten. Berejiklian also allegedly said Morrison was “more concerned with politics than people”.

The texts were sent to an unnamed Liberal Cabinet Minister, who allegedly replied saying Morrison was a “complete psycho”. It’s unclear when the messages were sent. On Tuesday afternoon, Gladys Berejiklian released a statement, saying she has “no recollection of such messages”.

“Let me reiterate my very strong support for Prime Minister Morrison and all he is doing for our nation during these very challenging times.” Berejiklian’s statement came after Morrison was asked about the messages at the National Press Club on Tuesday.

Speaking to ABC this morning, Morrison addressed the alleged texts again, saying “that’s not my experience with the former Premier”.

“I can’t speak to it really because I don’t know anything about it, and Gladys doesn’t know anything about it,” he added.
