Giveaway Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms (T&Cs) along with the information above on how to enter. Your entry into the Competition is deemed your acceptance of these T&Cs. In these T&Cs, Beyond The Valley means Beyond The Valley Music Festival Pty Ltd ATF The Trustee for Beyond The Valley Music Festival (ABN 58 779 010 339) of 1/1 Eastbourne St, Windsor VIC 3181, and it is the Prize supplier. The Start Date is 3:00pm AEDT on Wednesday 7 October 2026 and the Close Date is 3:00pm AEDT on Wednesday 28 October 2026.
1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1. Entry is only open to individual natural persons who are aged 18 or over, are residents of Australia, and are subscribed to The Daily Aus Morning newsletter when they enter (the Eligibility Criteria). To win, entrants must also meet clause 3.7.
1.2. Employees, participating retailers and agents of the Promoter or Beyond The Valley, or any company associated with either of them, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter the Competition. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
1.3. Entrants under 18 are not eligible. Entries from entrants who are under 18, based on the age they give in the survey or on any later verification, are invalid.
2. ENTRY
2.1. The Competition opens at the Start Date and entries close at the Close Date. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by the Promoter, not at the time of sending by the entrant. Late entries are not eligible.
2.2. To enter, entrants must complete and submit the TDA x BTV Culture Survey, answering every required question, between the Start Date and the Close Date (the Entry Requirements). Entrants are entered once the Entry Requirements are complete. Any cost associated with accessing the survey is the entrant's sole responsibility and depends on the internet service provider used.
2.3. Each entrant may submit the survey once. Submitting the survey more than once does not create additional entries, apart from the bonus entries in clause 2.4.
2.4. Bonus entries.
(a) The last question in the survey invites entrants to subscribe to any of The Daily Aus's other newsletters: TDA Sport, TDA Finance, TDA Culture and The Good Newsletter (each a Newsletter).
(b) For each Newsletter an entrant selects, the entrant's email address will be subscribed to that Newsletter (if it is not already) and the entrant receives one bonus entry. An entrant who selects the option to subscribe to all four Newsletters receives four bonus entries.
(c) Each entrant has a maximum of five entries in total: one for completing the survey and up to four bonus entries. Selecting a Newsletter more than once, or selecting both the individual Newsletters and the "all four" option, does not create more than five entries.
(d) An entrant who is already subscribed to a Newsletter they select still receives the bonus entry for it.
(e) Bonus entries are counted at the time of the draw. An entrant only keeps the bonus entry for a Newsletter if they are still subscribed to it at that time. An entrant who has unsubscribed from a Newsletter before the draw loses the bonus entry for it.
(f) Subscribing to a Newsletter is optional and is not required to enter. Subscriptions are free, and entrants can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any Newsletter. Unsubscribing affects the entrant's entries and eligibility to win as set out in these T&Cs.
2.5. For an entry to be successful, the entrant must:
(a) complete the survey using the link sent to them as a subscriber of The Daily Aus, or otherwise as permitted by the Promoter, so that the entry can be matched to the email address of their TDA subscription;
(b) acknowledge acceptance of these T&Cs;
(c) warrant that their entry is truthful, accurate and complete, and otherwise complies with these T&Cs; and
(d) not infringe any third party rights (including privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights), and the use of the entry by the Promoter must not infringe such rights. Entries must not be obscene, offensive, malicious, discriminatory, indecent or, in the Promoter's opinion, objectionable or inappropriate.
2.6. Optional survey questions do not need to be answered for an entry to be valid. Answers to the survey do not affect the entrant's chance of winning.
2.7. Entrants accept that incomplete and illegible entries, and entries that breach these T&Cs, are invalid, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion. The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this Competition. In particular, computer-generated entries and the use of "bots", "scripting" or any similar technology or process are not permitted and will not be accepted.
2.8. The Promoter is not responsible for any misdirected, late or incomprehensible entries, or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination of these, including any injury or damage to entrants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in this Competition.
3. WINNER
3.1. The Competition is a "game of chance". The Promoter will randomly draw one entrant (the Winner) using an electronic draw system, in which each valid entry is allocated one lot (so an entrant with five valid entries has five lots). The draw will take place at the Promoter's registered office at 10:00am AEDT on Friday 30 October 2026.
3.2. The Winner will be notified by email, using the email address of their TDA subscription, and by phone if they have provided a number, by a representative of The Daily Aus on or after the draw date. With the Winner's consent, the Winner's first name and state will also be announced on The Daily Aus's newsletter or social media on or around Monday 2 November 2026. If the Prize is not claimed, or the Winner's identity and eligibility cannot be verified under these T&Cs, within seven (7) days of the Promoter's notification (or any later period the Promoter sets by written notice), the Prize is forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner (Alternate Winner).
3.3. At the Promoter's sole discretion, the Winner may be required to verify their identity (including their full legal name), age, Australian residency, and that they satisfy the Eligibility Criteria and Entry Requirements. This may include a statutory declaration. The Promoter may disqualify the Winner if any information they have provided is false or misleading. If the Winner does not verify within seven (7) days of the request (or any later period the Promoter sets), the Prize is forfeited and awarded to an Alternate Winner.
3.4. If the Winner is unavailable to accept the Prize at the scheduled time, they forfeit the Prize and the Promoter may award it to an Alternate Winner.
3.5. An Alternate Winner will be decided by a redraw of all valid entries and notified on the same terms as clauses 3.2 to 3.4. If required, the redraw will take place fourteen (14) days after the draw date (Redraw Date). The Alternate Winner's details will be published seven (7) days after the Redraw Date.
3.6. The Promoter's random draw of the Winner, and any other aspect of the Competition, is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into unless required by law.
3.7. To qualify as the Winner, an entrant must be subscribed to The Daily Aus Morning newsletter, and to every Newsletter they selected in the survey, both at the time of the draw and when they are notified. If they are not, they are disqualified, the Prize is forfeited and it is awarded to an Alternate Winner. The same requirement applies to any Alternate Winner at the time of the redraw and notification.
4. PRIZE
4.1. The Prize is the BTV ticket package described above. The ticket values stated are retail prices at the time of publishing, and any change in value between the publishing date of these T&Cs and the date the Prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
4.2. The Prize does not include anything not expressly stated in these T&Cs, including (the Exclusions): travel to and from the event; accommodation other than the camping provided by the camping tickets; food, drink and merchandise; travel or event insurance; and parking beyond the car pass. Booking fees on the Prize tickets are covered.
4.3. The Prize is for the Winner and one guest. The Prize tickets are subject to Beyond The Valley's terms and conditions of entry, including any age restrictions, rules about items that may be brought on site, and security requirements. The Winner is responsible for ensuring their guest also meets them. The tickets are non-transferable and cannot be sold.
4.4. If the event is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled, the Prize will be handled in line with Beyond The Valley's ticketing policy at the time. The Promoter is not liable for any loss, cost or inconvenience arising from this.
4.5. The Winner agrees to complete any documentation reasonably required by the Promoter to release liability and transfer all risk, right, title and interest in the Prize to the Winner (including, without limitation, a deed of release).
4.6. The Prize is non-exchangeable for other goods or services and cannot be redeemed for cash.
4.7. If, for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, it is not possible to supply the Prize as advertised, the Promoter may supply a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
4.8. The Prize is provided "as is" and, to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no warranties or representations about its appearance or suitability. Any photos provided are illustrative only.
4.9. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the Promoter limits its liability for any breach of guarantee or warranty to:
(a) the replacement or supply of an equivalent prize;
(b) the repair of the Prize;
(c) the re-supplying of the Prize;
(d) the payment of the cost of replacing or acquiring an equivalent prize;
(e) the payment of the cost of repairs; or
(f) the payment of the cost of having the Prize re-supplied.
4.10. Winners are advised that tax implications may arise from prize winnings and should seek independent financial advice before accepting.
5. DELIVERY OF PRIZE
5.1. The Prize will be delivered to the Winner subject to compliance with these T&Cs. The tickets will be delivered digitally to the Winner's email address, or as otherwise arranged with Beyond The Valley's ticketing provider.
5.2. The Promoter is responsible for the cost and risk of delivering the Prize until it reaches the Winner. From that point, all related costs, liabilities, expenses, levies and taxes become the Winner's responsibility.
5.3. The Winner acknowledges that delivery dates and receipt may depend on third-party service providers, and the Promoter is not liable for any delays or faults beyond its control.
6. PRIVACY AND DATA
6.1. The Promoter collects the information entrants provide in the survey, their TDA subscriber details, and their Newsletter selections. Answers to optional questions are voluntary.
6.2. The Promoter uses this information to run the Competition (including the draw and verifying, notifying and contacting the Winner), to subscribe entrants to the Newsletters they select, and to understand and improve The Daily Aus and its audience.
6.3. The Promoter will not give Beyond The Valley or The Daily Aus's partners any individual-level survey responses. The Promoter may share insights from the survey with them only in aggregated, de-identified form, which cannot identify any individual entrant. The Promoter will share the Winner's name and contact details with Beyond The Valley so the Prize can be provided.
6.4. The Promoter handles personal information in line with its Privacy Policy at https://www.thedailyaus.com.au/privacy-policy, which explains how entrants can access or correct their information or make a complaint.
6.5. By selecting a Newsletter, the entrant consents to receiving that Newsletter at the email address they entered with, and can unsubscribe at any time.
7. GENERAL
7.1. The Promoter may cancel, suspend or change the Competition if it is not capable of running as planned, including because of fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond its control, subject to any applicable laws.
7.2. Nothing in these T&Cs excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy an entrant has under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7.3. These T&Cs are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
