Can a blood test detect Alzheimer's early?

This week, the Therapeutic Goods Administration approved an Australian-first blood test for Alzheimer’s disease that can detect the condition 20 years before symptoms emerge.

The blood test will also deliver results within 18 minutes.

And while the disease does largely appear in older populations, it can silently develop in the brain much earlier.
