For the first time, TDA is taking you back to the high school debate club. In this episode, we’re debating the idea of national civic service. It’s a pitch put forward by the former Treasurer of Australia that young Aussies should have to complete a mandatory year of national service, in areas like healthcare, emergency services, agriculture or the military. In today’s episode we’ll run through the arguments for and against, hear what the TDA audience thinks, and get to the bottom of whether national service could actually become a reality.
