A body was found on the Greek island of Symi, confirming the death of high-profile doctor Michael Mosley, who was reported missing on Wednesday.
The British doctor is best known for popularising the intermittent fasting 5:2 diet.
The 67 year old went for a walk on Wednesday afternoon (local time) and was reported missing by his wife, Dr. Clare Bailey, when he failed to return from his walk.
The body has since been identified as Michael Mosley, confirming his death.

Symi is a small Greek island in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Further, it’s located around 7km off the Turkish coast.
According to local media, Mosley went for a walk around the island on Wednesday without his phone.
Emergency crews were searching for Mosley in a wide-scale search effort involving police, firefighters and coast guards.

Search efforts
Rescue teams were searching Agios Nikolaos beach in Symi, around a 15-minute walk from Mosley’s accommodation.
A drone was also being used in an attempt to spot Mosley from the air.
A spokesperson from Greece’s Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who is missing inand are in contact with the local authorities.”
The island’s mayor said: “Symi is a small, flat place… How can a man go missing and not be found when so many people are searching for him?”
There were concerns that Mosley may have taken a wrong path, and tripped or fallen during the walk.
High temperatures were recorded on Symi over the past few days.
