Trump was not in Florida at the time.
The incident comes weeks after another man was sentenced to life in prison for attempting to assassinate Trump at a golf course the President owns in 2024.
Mar-a-Lago
Mar-a-Lago is a members-only country club in Palm Beach, Florida, owned by Trump.
Trump often lives on the grounds of Mar-a-Lago when he isn’t at the White House.

His family in the state of North Carolina had reported him missing on Saturday.
Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said the man “entered the [club’s] inner perimeter,” where he was discovered by authorities, who ordered him to drop both the gun and petrol can.
Bradshaw said the man dropped the petrol can but “raised the shotgun to a shooting position”. Secret Service agents shot and killed the 21-year-old.
The Secret Service is the official security detail for current and former U.S. Presidents and their families.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the agents had “acted quickly and decisively to neutralise a crazy person… who intruded President Trump’s home.”
In a post to X, FBI Director Kash Patel said the agency will dedicate “all necessary resources in the investigation of this morning’s incident”.
