Over the weekend, One Nation won a seat in WA's lower house.
The result came from a state by-election (not a federal one) in the seat of Secret Harbour, a previously safe Labor seat.
It's a first for the party in WA's Parliament, and comes as it rises in the polls ahead of state elections in Victoria and NSW.
Here's what you need to know.
One Nation
One Nation was founded by Pauline Hanson in 1997.
The party has four federal senators, including Hanson.
In May, One Nation won a by-election in regional NSW for the seat of Farrer, the first time the party has won a seat in the federal House of Representatives.
It's had upper house representation in several states for years, but never held a lower house seat in WA.
WA by-election
WA currently has a Labor state government.
The seat of Secret Harbour became vacant after Labor's Paul Papalia resigned in July.
Papalia had held the seat since 2007.
One Nation's Luke Herdegen, a gym owner, ran against Labor's Georgia Tree, a former political staffer turned oil and gas lobbyist.

Sixteen candidates contested the seat in total.
At the time of writing, the seat has been called for Herdegen with 57.04% of the two-party preferred vote.
"To see such a dramatic shift in support towards One Nation since the last WA election is just phenomenal... The result in Secret Harbour should be a warning to Labor, we're coming for more of your seats," One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson said in a post to X.
What's next?
The WA win lands just as One Nation firms up its campaigns for two other state elections.
Victoria goes to the polls on 28 November.
One Nation has been polling well there throughout the year, at times on par with Labor and the Coalition.
More recent polling has shown the Coalition pulling ahead of both Labor and One Nation.
Earlier this year, One Nation said it would contest all 88 Victorian lower house seats, under new state leader Warren Pickering.
It is yet to announce candidates for every seat.
In NSW, Hanson last week unveiled the party's leading candidates for the state election set for 13 March 2027.
Former NSW trade commissioner Mike Newman will be the party's lead candidate, running in the traditionally Labor seat of Cessnock in the Hunter Valley.
The upcoming elections will be the next tests of whether polling support can be converted into actual votes.
